The Yes, No, And Maybe Lists

We have arranged the components of each food group in this section into three tables -YES, NO, and MAYBE.

There is a good reason for this. Designing individualized diets is extremely difficult, as so much depends on physiology, genetics, current digestive health, and much more. Consequently, some people may find that they have no issues eating food like sweet potato, whereas others may find that they need to be a little stricter.

With this in mind, these food lists are designed to be slightly flexible. Here is a brief summary of what we mean.

The YES List

These are foods that everyone should be able to eat, from Phase Two onwards.

The NO List

These are foods that you should definitely not be eating during your treatment.

The MAYBE List

These are foods that may be OK for some people, in small quantities.

When it comes to looking at the MAYBE foods, you have several options. You might choose to avoid them completely, which is a perfectly good choice. This will put you on a nutritious, anti-inflammatory diet and will likely get you the fastest results. Equally, you might choose to continue eating a few of the MAYBE foods, but limit them to very small quantities. This may also be a good choice for you, as it will provide some extra nutrition while making the diet slightly easier to follow.

Whatever you choose, just make sure that you avoid the NO foods completely and strictly limit the amount of the MAYBE foods that you eat. Now, let’s move on to the various food lists. We’ll start by taking a look at vegetables.
